Preschool Vision Guidelines from Eye Image

At age 3, your child should get a thorough eye exam to ensure sight is developing as it should and there are no signs of eye disease. At this time, watch for signs of vision development problems. Those include a short attention span for the age, challenges with eye-hand-body coordination when playing with a ball, riding a bike or avoiding detailed activities like coloring and puzzles. Make the appointment a positive experience by:

The next exam should be at age 5, unless your eye doctor tells you otherwise. In the meantime, these activities will aid with sight development:
